My Jury Experience
by Dana ArdI received my first ever jury summons letter in mid-February. Since the dates that I was to appear were in convention week, I requested a postponement, and was soon notified by mail that my dates of service would be April 5-9. I was told that I would have to call in at the end of each week day to find out when I needed to appear at the Ada County court house.

Architect goes blind and and Becomes Better at His Job
A recent 60 Minutes television episode featured a story, by Lesley Stall, on a blind architect by the name of Chris Downey. When Chris lost his sight ten years ago social workers immediately told him that he would need to explore different career options. Fortunately, he did not listen and soon discovered alternative techniques to continue, and even expand, his career as an architect.

President’s Update December 2018
I hope everyone is enjoying a rich holiday season filled with all those activities that are meaningful for you. Now that there is respite from much of the busyness of the season, we need to get ready for the federation excitement of 2019, and there is plenty of excitement to be had including our legislative luncheon and Winter Board meeting, our state convention, our national convention in Las Vegas, the braille-a-thon and much more.
