Idaho Parents of Blind Children

The Idaho Parents of Blind Children (IPBC) is a statewide membership organization of parents and other interested persons who come together to provide vital support, give encouragement, and information to each other. Parents, relatives, blind persons, educators, and others interested in providing opportunities for blind children may join. Although membership is open to non-parents, the control and focus of IPBC remains with parents.

Goals of the IPBC

Create a climate of opportunity for blind children in the home and community.

Provide information and support to parents of blind children.

To facilitate the sharing of experience and concerns among parents of blind children.

To develop and expand resources available to parents and their blind children.

To function as an integral part of the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) and the NFB of Idaho in its effort to eliminate discrimination against the blind and achieve equality, opportunity, and security for the blind.
